Who to vote for – NOT

Who promises to raise taxes

Don’t vote for anyone who promises to raise taxes. When the rich are taxed, they tax the poor, while telling the poor they are taxing the rich. Rich people contribute to the candidates and you can tell who paid the candidates by who gets elected. Got it?

Proverbs 29:4 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) A king gives stability to a country by justice, but one who overtaxes it brings it to ruin.

Tax Corporations to pay “fair share”

There is also the claim – I will tax the big corporations.  Here is what happens.  The corporations raise their prices, and at the same time, the employees of those corporations agitate for larger wages.  They pass these raises on to the consumer. A good example is the automobile.  I bought a Pontiac in 1968 for $7,000.  The same car today would start at $38,000.  What happened.

All the suppliers of goods and services to the auto industry raise their prices and now an auto is a huge expense which it was not back then.  This kind of inflation can happen in any industry or business.  Book printing has done the same thing for a different reason.

What about that “affair”

This is worrisome. The newspaper or Media know about affairs on the part of BOTH candidates. Now why do they print or publicize only one adultery? Be cautious about the person a newspaper or TV station endorses. These media are no longer interested in good government. If you check online any issue you’ll find who is lying about the issues or the candidate or refusing to tell good things about a candidate.

Slander -Libel

Two people were willing to lie about Jesus for money. What makes you think there aren’t plenty of people around today who will lie to the press about a candidate? Uses another way to decide about a candidate. Pay attention to the issues that this candidate discusses. And what about the party professionals? Do you agree with people he or she must work with?

Check motives

Why would 489 ex-military leaders support a candidate? Easy – Peesy. They had big investments in military hardware and ammo and the Middle East Peace deal cuts into that. Sorry! Peace is more important than your retirement incomes! Ask yourself – who benefits, really, not in theory but in practice.

Foreign Opinion

Do we really need to consider what foreigners think about our country, our candidates? If it is so important, move to the USA, take a citizenship course and pay taxes like the rest of us. Then you get a chance to choose our leaders. We are paying the nation’s bills, not you.

Unions and Groups

Unions will support a candidate or arty because they want something special. Maybe they deserve a raise – maybe not. It depends on the product. Do they do a great job? You are paid for doing your job. Are you paid more than you are worth – or less? People who want more income should be able to provide a reason they work is superior and they deserve it. And that includes legislators too. This election season the issue of Abortion is front and center. They will be voting of on this. So you need to consider where you stand and where the candidates stand.

There’s no such thing as a “fair tax”

Every legislator thinks his tax is fair – at least to him and his friends. You know a tax is fari when the people who pay them tell you it is fair. What is the answer?

The FLAT tax is fair

The flattest tax is the one on consumer goods. If you have the money to buy that yacht – go ahead. You are taxed on that. The poor pay taxes on toys and gum – which is what they can afford to buy. When you can afford an item, the the tax for everyone is fair. The USA tax code I was told is some 40,000 pages. So who knows what is in there? Hardly anyone.

The rule in legislation – too much = unfairness

Legislators have known this for decades, that the more legislation you have the less it is obeyed. The same with taxation. The more taxes and rules the more people ignore them. Simple is best, cheapest and gets more bang for the buck.

It is not about personality

People are all alike – the pretty girl, the accomplished guy – make good candidates and public speaking ability is an asset. But, the quiet one who actually knows something is going to be a better choice in the end. Your legislator does not vote on his personality. He/she votes on issues, and policies. That winning personality means nothing if the laws you suffer under put you down and make life harder.

Finally, if you don’t know anything about that candidate why are your voting for him-her?
