Evil Thoughts come in My Mind – what can I do?

Two people have mentioned to me this week that evil ideas come into their minds from who knows where. While so-called “modern men” do not believe in the existence of demons, yes folks, they are all around. They are the ones speaking into your mind. If you can entertain a wicked act, you might just decide to do it. The purpose of these thoughts is for you to act on them.

You are in control of your mind so it is your job to throw these bums out. You can say out loud- “Jesus, get these demons out of m head.” (You might not want to do this when other people are around. You don’t need an argument about this.)

If it happens again, yell this louder. At the Name of Jesus, demons will have to flee.

Control Your Mind

Next thing to do is to fill your mind with scripture. Try reading a Psalm, or the book of Luke (my favorite.) You are in charge of your body, which includes your mind.

Thousands of years ago Saint Augustine, who was no saint then, had a big problem with sexual lust and he made a good comment about this issue. He said “You cannot keep birds from flying over your head, but you can keep them from building a nest in your hair.”

If your mind is busy doing something better, the devil and his terrorists will have to go elsewhere.
