Global warming supporters say that man’s behavior is making the planet hotter. And that mankind must work to reverse this trend.
Meanwhile God says the following:
2 Peter 3:10-12 10But the day of the LORD will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. 11Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.
So being rational human beings, why are we trying to change what will happen anyway? Will we waste time and money on reversing the future?
Why not work towards making our lives better in the presence of great temperatures. One effective thing to do in hot cities especially is the planting of flat roof gardens. Of course they must be maintained just as you would any piece of property, but where they are now growing, air conditioning costs are fewer, and that also cuts down on the use of fossil fuels. And it looks wonderful, employees have a place to hang out when they have a break, and flowers encourage the stressed bee populations.
