Why Communism is a Theological Issue

The Divine Right of Leaders

This kind of thinking lasted a long time until the Europeans had a snoot-full of bad leaders and so did the church. After centuries of church corruption Europeans were more than happy to end the dominance of the Roman Catholic church. Martin Luther had decades of troubles, he was hunted down with the intention of killing him, but enough citizens and powerful people agreed with him and his opposition to the “holy” church that he survived.

After that the divine right of kings came into question. It already had eroded, especially in the never ending wars for power between England and France. Henry the Eighth told the Pope he was head pf the English (Protestant church) and hundreds of thousands of Europeans escaped to America to get out of the way of the religious warriors. The USA was the result of this conflict. We owe a lot to them.

Buddhism believes numbers=proof

But back to the communists. Buddhism, which is the common religion of China, believes that truth is verified by the sheer numbers of people who believe. The current President of China told everybody he is going to serve as their leader for his lifetime. How he managed this coup I do not know. But it is the natural equivalent of saying he is the god-person in charge. And because there are 1.5 billion people in China all accepting this belief it must be true. The vast numbers do not lie.

The world over, Communism is under assault

Of course it is not true to the Americans who recognize no man as god. But it explains the conflict in Hong Kong. Mostly young students but also others do not accept the government of Beijing. If there is no agreement and thousands disagree, there is the possibility, at least as far as the Chinese Communists are concerned that they are no longer the gods-in-charge. They must stamp out all resistance in order to verify that they are gods, and legitimately hold power.

As a student of history I can assure you they will not win this contest. Every communist nation so far has faced controversy, rebellion, financial loss, civil war or all of the above. Venezuela is going through its collapse. China has financial troubles it has not faced, is not even willing to discuss, and Chinese communist leaders do not tell the truth anyway. That is no secret.

Socialism = Communism-lite

Cuba flounders along, trying to keep a little Catholic base and a little Communist but it is still a place of poverty and want. North Korea is committing suicide while South Korea is fat and happy. The communist or socialist nations where a false god is in charge are also collapsing – like Syria, Iran, Yemen, Northern Africa, California.

If you look at a map of the world, wherever there is Communist there is also drought. Where there is no water, people cannot survive, not their plants not their animals as well. These are places of death. People leave and that causes mass dislocation of migrants fleeing their homelands.

Hot spots equal little or no water resources.
