Why Moving Israel’s Capital is Important

Print Friendly, PDF & Email
This is Real Israel Today

Ordinary citizens pay little attention to the United Nations so few people would consider a vote there about the moving of the United States Embassy to Jerusalem is of much concern.  In the first place, location of a nation’s embassy is no one’s business at all but that of the nation paying for the building. Has anyone suggested that England move from London to Liverpool, or France from Paris to the Riviera, or Germany from Berlin to Hamburg? And if that came up to a vote those nations would be furious and rightly so.

As a practical matter moving an embassy is a nightmare – finding new property, moving all the personnel and their housing which is never easy to find.  The building much be secure. Personnel must move their children’s educational options. Then there is the very act of moving all that paperwork and technology.

128 nations voted against the move.  I can understand why. Embassies want to be near the USA’s embassy and now all these other nations will feel obligated to move their embassies to Jerusalem.  It is expensive and time consuming.  Many very small nations may not be able to afford the move.

Spiritual Reason ove rule Natural Reasons

But saying all that reminds us that when God does something it is for a spiritual reason. We are approaching the end of time. One of the major changes in religious life will be the moving together of Jews and Christians.  After all, they have the same Messiah and He is returning – to Jerusalem.

There is the coming possibility that there will also be a political joining of Jews and Christians.  Fully one billion new believers are being added to the heavenly rolls. Then there are the American black Christians.  This is an old and powerful group. They have been ignored in the past decade and can come forth now to join in an international religious prayer company.  Most black leaders in the USA have supported anti-Christian policies, such as abortion and same sex marriage.  Many black Christian leaders have not been heard from, or their voices have been stilled.

God Judges Nations as well as Individuials

The third result of this vote is that God pays attention to nations as well as individuals.  In the End Times nations will be judged as either Sheep nations – those which support God in principle and practice and Goat nations which resist Israel and the moral law.

To Curse Israel is to Be Cursed

Genesis 12:3 says that God will curse those nations which curse Israel.

I will bless those who bless you, but I will curse anyone who curses you; and by you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”

Here is a list of the nations which openly voted against Israel. If your nation is listed below it is under a curse. You can pray that your national leaders have their eyes opened to what is happening.

Goat Nations

The Goat Nations come under judgment; the Sheep nations are working for and with God. This is quite outside the issue of any individual being saved.  God wants to save nations too. He asks of them adherence to the moral law and friendship with His personal Nation, Israel, and protecting Israel is a no-brainer.
