Your vote in China is not a religious duty. In fact, the secret ballot is not permitted in China, and you can be sure if you, as a legislator, fail to vote the way the Communist Party wants you to vote, you will hear about it. This party even went so far as to call itself a Republic-democracy which is most certainly is not in actual practice.
The true dictatorship controls everything that controls you. There are no guns for private citizens; they have hampered freedom of movement, and no real religious worship is permitted if it disagrees with the beliefs of the state. And Christianity does disagree with the Communist State.
Most nations have no electorate
Your vote means nothing in Yemen which right now is ruled by thugs and terrorists. Your vote in Russia is empty too. The whole nation is on a downward slide, having never fully righted itself after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1989. Vladimir Putin is a man steeped in military culture and planning for that nation exactly what previous communists have done – make it a military stronghold, which as before will collapse.
Americans are asked to vote all the time. Not just President, and Governors, but sheriffs, police chiefs, Tax Collectors in small counties and large, even the board of water managers. It is all too much. 30 million Christians did not register and vote in the last election. Voting is a civil right; not voting is a civil wrong. And look what we got – a Congress of soreheads spending millions on impeachment while issues like health care languish. Shame.
God gave us this system – if we can keep it
But because God has provided us with pur democracy we have a religious obligation to keep what He gave us. Not just because we are so blessed, but because so many other nations cannot make that claim.
There are millions of people trying to get into the USA on all our borders. We always say it is the opportunity to make a living, or for better health care, or an education – but we ignore the one thing all dictatorships do not have – and that is the private, personal, hidden vote at a ballot box available at least every two years and often more even than that.
The first thing Hitler did when he became head of Germany was to remove the guns from private citizens. No inanimate object is your enemy – and guns are inanimate. Let that be a lesson to you.
We are without excuse if our government is diseased and overpowering us. And now with the exposure of the FBI and other major agencies being riddled with corruption we have a broom in our vote to clean up the whole mess. If we don’t do it you can be sure the enemies of America will be more than happy to take over. God warned Cain –
Genesis 4:7 If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it.”
Evil crouches at the doors of our free, Christian nation – although it hardly seems very Christian anymore. But what God raised up He wants to restore.
That will only happen with your vote, a New Year’s resolution you can easily keep.
