Malachi 3:6<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Every book contains a reference to its author. This book, made up of 66 individual books, 27 of which are the New Testament, recognizes the author as God Himself, that is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Since God can only use human beings for language He writes His book in the language of the scribe writing, Greek for most of the New Testament and Hebrew for most of the old, and as a result, some of the personality of these scribes shines through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-default\"><p><em>16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.<\/em><\/p><cite>2 Peter 3:16<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><em>More importa<\/em>ntly God stands behind every word.&nbsp; It won&#8217;t go away, and even in spite of delays in timing, it will all eventually be accomplished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><em> The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.\u201d<\/em><\/p><cite><em>Isaiah 40:8<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Job Number One for the devil is changing, questioning or altering the Word of God in some way are seen in Luke 4 and Genesis 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p class=\"chapter-1\"><em><span class=\"text Luke-4-1-Luke-4-2\"><span class=\"chapternum\">Luke 4&nbsp;<\/span><sup class=\"versenum\">1-2&nbsp;<\/sup>Jesus returned from the Jordan full of the Holy Spirit and he was led by the Spirit to spend forty days in the desert, where he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during that time and afterwards he felt very hungry.<\/span><\/em><\/p><p><em><span id=\"en-PHILLIPS-747\" class=\"text Luke-4-3\"><sup class=\"versenum\">3&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cIf you really are the Son of God,\u201d the devil said to him, \u201ctell this stone to turn into a loaf.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p><p><em><span id=\"en-PHILLIPS-748\" class=\"text Luke-4-4\"><sup class=\"versenum\">4&nbsp;<\/sup>Jesus answered, \u201cThe scripture says, \u2018Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God\u2019.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p><p><em><span id=\"en-PHILLIPS-749\" class=\"text Luke-4-5-Luke-4-7\"><sup class=\"versenum\">5-7&nbsp;<\/sup>Then the devil took him up and showed him all the kingdoms of mankind in a sudden vision, and said to him, \u201cI will give you all this power and magnificence, for it belongs to me and I can give it to anyone I please. It shall all be yours if you will fall down and worship me.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p><p><em><span id=\"en-PHILLIPS-750\" class=\"text Luke-4-8\"><sup class=\"versenum\">8&nbsp;<\/sup>To this Jesus replied, \u201cIt is written, \u2018You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only you shall serve\u2019.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p><p><em><span id=\"en-PHILLIPS-751\" class=\"text Luke-4-9-Luke-4-11\"><sup class=\"versenum\">9-11&nbsp;<\/sup>Then the devil took him to Jerusalem and set him on the highest ledge of the Temple. \u201cIf you really are the Son of God,\u201d he said, \u201cthrow yourself down from here, for the scripture says, \u2018He shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you\u2019, and \u2018In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone\u2019.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p><p><em><span id=\"en-PHILLIPS-752\" class=\"text Luke-4-12\"><sup class=\"versenum\">12&nbsp;<\/sup>To which Jesus replied, \u201cIt is also said, \u2018You shall not tempt the Lord your God\u2019.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p><p><em><span id=\"en-PHILLIPS-753\" class=\"text Luke-4-13\"><sup class=\"versenum\">13&nbsp;<\/sup>And when he had exhausted every kind of temptation, the devil withdrew until his next opportunity.<\/span><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>These temptations will be yours as well the minute you decide to get serious about Jesus. &nbsp;The media bombard us with carnal and God-avoiding propaganda every day. Our textbooks reflect the glory of man not of God. Our pundits spend hours speculating on the deeds of leaders, not one minute on the plans of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It goes on today on TV, newspapers, churches even, and general conversation.
