The following article, taken as an image off the internet, is an example of how a secular writer can present his version of the Bible. Clearly, he does not think the Bible is the word of God or he would not tamper with it.

This does not make him a “bad man” merely an opinionated one. The scripture says the natural man receives not the things of the spirit of God, neither does he know them because they are spiritually discerned.

Those who believe the Bible is God’s word – literally “God-Breathed” is the Greek phrase – know that the Bible is the correct version. God had over 4,000 years to edit it for typos and billions of people worldwide accept it as a complete book. If there is anything wrong with it, it is due to the interpretations and assumptions that men develop to explain or explain away parts they do not understand.

All information in the world today has been bastardized or redacted – a nice word for “messed with,” and the Bible is no exception.

In this case, the writer is simply a person who does not see God in this book. For those of us who regard it as God’s revelation to mankind, it is, of course correct.
