{"id":2158,"date":"2021-04-07T09:14:00","date_gmt":"2021-04-07T09:14:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/woulduconsider.wpcomstaging.com\/?p=2158"},"modified":"2021-04-01T20:31:06","modified_gmt":"2021-04-01T20:31:06","slug":"what-is-the-prophets-reward","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/corneliascottcree.com\/what-is-the-prophets-reward\/","title":{"rendered":"The Prophet&#039;s Reward"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Gaither Vocal Band - Bread Upon the Water [Live]\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/z9jF6jGLfCg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption>Keep on Casting<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/woulduconsider.wpcomstaging.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/downed-tree-in-road.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"297\" height=\"198\" src=\"https:\/\/woulduconsider.wpcomstaging.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/downed-tree-in-road.jpg\" alt=\"downed tree in road\" class=\"wp-image-2037\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Matthew 10:41\u00a0He who receives and welcomes a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet\u2019s reward; (Amplified)<\/em><\/span><br>I never really thought about this Scripture much until this past week when I failed to watch any of the Republican Convention. \u00a0They tell me it was worthwhile, but I had no interest. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why? \u00a0Because I knew who would win the election in November. \u00a0I&#8217;ve been listening to God&#8217;s prophets for many years and taking their words seriously. \u00a0Eighteen months ago I knew the results of this election, not in minute detail you understand, but the broad base of what God wanted to accomplish with a new person in charge of a secular nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">God is in charge of history<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Because, after all, God is in charge of history and what America does is extremely important regarding what happens to Israel, and Israel is the linchpin of world history. \u00a0All of this is in the Bible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, it is not the prophetic information that is important. \u00a0If \u00a0told you what I knew about this election you would not have the prophet&#8217;s reward because the reward is not by knowing the future, or your knowing the information about the future. \u00a0The reward is the same reward the prophet gets &#8211; the absolute lack of fear about the future. \u00a0It is what I noticed about myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">No fear of the future<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Knowing what I do about this election has eliminated all fear I might have had about it even though\u00a0I have been dismayed by the incredible destruction of my nation for the past eight years and even more years than that. \u00a0I might have redoubled my efforts to work for candidates, which would be a misuse of my time. My time belongs to God and He is supposed to tell me how to use it, not my fear of the future. \u00a0And what is political activity about after all, but fear of the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prophet&#8217;s reward applies to everything<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition the prophet&#8217;s reward applies to all aspects of living. I am freed from all fear about all things &#8211; money, property, the people around me and in my family. One of my children has stage four cancer of the brain. \u00a0My friends wonder why I am so unemotional about it? Because I have the prophet&#8217;s reward &#8211; no fear!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A violent storm took down a tree and part of my apartment building. \u00a0I had no fear. \u00a0Others were panicky. The prophet&#8217;s reward applies to every event &#8211; no fear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That does not mean I throw all caution to the wind? \u00a0No. \u00a0I am planning to buy a small firearm. \u00a0There are many dangers in this nation we did not have 20, 40, 60 years ago. One out of four Americans lives alone and protection is a must, but not with fear. \u00a0Fear leads to accidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Don&#8217;t make prophecy your goal<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>So the message is this. \u00a0Know what the prophets said in the Bible and what they are saying now. Not all prophets tell the truth. \u00a0You will learn how to discern which are true and those who are flawed. \u00a0Don&#8217;t make a mission of ferreting out the phonies &#8211; it&#8217;s a waste of time.
